Everton are reportedly tracking a 27-year-old Serie A striker whose dream is to play in the Premier League. With Beto attracting interest from Leeds United, and second-choice striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract expiring, David Moyes is now looking to improve his options in attack and believes he has found the right person to take on the job.Everton are keen to sign a striker this summer, and Moyes is eager to add more goals to his side, which they severely lacked during the 2024/25 campaign.Reports have stated that Everton are interested in Aleksandar Mitrovic, but fans believe he is too old and have been put off by his £40m price tag. Elsewhere, Nick Woltemade has caught Everton’s eye after an impressive season in the Bundesliga. It is believed that Woltemade would cost Everton less than £20m this summer, a bargain fee after his 12 league goals. Now, Everton are reportedly keeping tabs on a Serie A player who wants to follow in the footsteps of his family members and get a move to the Premier League.Photo by Fran Santiago – UEFA/UEFA via Getty ImagesEverton tracking Genoa ace Albert GudmundssonAfter four seasons in Italy, Albert Gudmundsson now believes that the time is right for him to move on, and his next club could very well be one in the Premier League.Reports in May stated that Everton are interested in signing the ‘devastating’ Gudmundsson, and he was on a long list of names that Moyes was keen on signing.MORE EVERTON STORIESNow, in an interview with inews, it has been confirmed that Everton are tracking Gudmundsson over a possible move this summer. The report, which included an interview with Gudmundsson himself, states that Everton are the latest Premier League side to track his progress, suggesting that he has interest from across the league.Having spent the season on loan at Fiorentina, the Italian side have the option to make the 89-goal striker’s deal permanent. However, with no head coach, they may be focusing elsewhere rather than on their recruitment at this point in time. What Everton target Albert Gudmundsson said about moving to the Premier LeagueThis season has been a shaky one for Gudmundsson, who scored six goals in 24 league appearances. His progress was hampered by injuries, which made him struggle to pick up consistent form.Despite that, the 27-year-old still dreams of moving to the Premier League and hopes that a deal can happen this summer. In the same interview with inews, Gudmundsson shared his dreams of playing in the Premier League like members of his family tree did.“Because my great-grandfather used to play for Arsenal, we used to watch them,” he said.“When I was younger I was watching all the games in the Wenger era. Arsenal were dominating a lot then not quite as good, but they still played beautiful football and I loved that.“I wouldn’t say I am trying to copy his career or anything – I don’t want to play in England or in France because he played there. I like the Premier League a lot, that’s why I want to play there. It is about my own path.“The Premier League is definitely something that interests me. It is the best league in the world. Hopefully one day I will be playing there.”
