UNC to make 'big push' for top Virginia Tech decommits after Brent Pry firing

Virginia Tech fired coach Brent Pry on Sunday following a 0-3 start to the 2025 college football season. Shortly after, the Hokies lost a commitment from 2026 four-star offensive tackle Thomas Wilder, the top-rated recruit in their class.

Wilder, a product of Virginia Beach (Va.) Green Run, was joined by two of his high school teammates in Virginia Tech's 2026 class. There's potential for more decommitments in Blacksburg, per 247Sports national recruiting editor Brandon Huffman, and Bill Belichick and North Carolina are among the favorites to pick up the pieces.
