Brendan Aaronson reacts after Leeds agree ‘giant’ new signing

Leeds United have confirmed their sixth signing of the summer transfer window after Anton Stach arrived from TSG Hoffenheim.

The 26-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on a four-year deal after Leeds agree a fee of £17.4million to bring him from the Bundesliga to Elland Road.

He follows Jaka Bijol, Sean Longstaff, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sabastiaan Bornauw and Lukas Nmecha as part of major reinforcements for Daniel Farke’s squad.

This comes as, following their return to the Premier League, Football Insider revealed Leeds would back Farke with a huge budget to improve their chances of avoiding relegation.

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on 14 July that Farke wants to add new midfielders to his squad alongside a new goalkeeper and right-back.

Following the initial announcement on Instagram, Leeds fans flooded the replies with welcome messages, while the post was liked by new teammate Brenden Aaronson.

Aaronson himself has been linked with a move away from Farke’s side this summer, with Stach’s arrival adding to the speculation given his midfield role.

Former Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider in May that Aaronson will be let go alongside Junior Firpo amid concerns about his Premier League displays.

Patrick Bamford to leave Elland Road after Daniel Farke decision

Aaronson is not the only player who could be leaving Elland Road this summer with ongoing speculation that a number of fringe players could be on their way out.

Football Insider exclusively revealed on 21 July that Patrick Bamford is set to leave Leeds and is open to remaining in England or going abroad before the window closes.

The 31-year-old is set to leave Elland Road as he is no longer part of Farke’s long-term plans ahead of their upcoming campaign in the Premier League.

This comes after former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in October that Leeds will let Bamford leave in the summer.
