Dhruv Jurel Injured During SRH vs RR IPL 2024 Match; Walks Off The Field In Pain

Dhruv Jurel is an important member of Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals and scored an unbeaten match-winning fifty in the last game against LSG. However, in the game against SRH, he ended up injuring himself badly on the final delivery of the 9th over while trying to field a ball near the boundary line and walked off the field in pain.

It was a shot from Travis Head against Yuzvendra Chahal towards deep mid-wicket and Dhruv Jurel stationed near the boundary line ran to his right but pulled his hamstring in the process as the ball crossed the boundary line.

The seriousness of the injury is still unknown but hamstring injuries are generally risky, and if he does not come out to bat in the second half, it would be a big blow to Rajasthan Royals. Also, there is lot of cricket to be played in IPL 2024 and Dhruv Jurel is an important asset in the middle order for RR.

They are currently at the top of the table with eight wins in 9 matches, and if they ended up beating SRH at Hyderabad, they would become the first team to officially qualify for playoffs in IPL 2024.
