The officer pulled Garrett's gray Ferrari over at 2:06 a.m. and issued the 29-year-old a ticket, with the encounter being captured on the officer's body camera.Garrett was summoned to appear in Strongsville Mayor's Court this Thursday morning. However, if he pays the traffic ticket, he won't have to appear.Garrett is the second Cleveland football player this year to be pulled over for driving at least 100 mph on I-71 in Strongsville. Back in June, rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders was caught going 101 mph in the northbound lanes near the Ohio Turnpike bridge. Sanders, who 12 days before that was also cited for speeding in Medina County, eventually paid $250 in fines and court costs.This is also not the first time Garrett has been clocked for excessive speed. Back in 2022, 3News Investigates uncovered at least seven instances of Garrett being caught driving over the speed limit in Northeast Ohio — including one ticket for going 120 mph on I-71 in Medina County.Garrett's most notable vehicular-related incident came on Sept. 26, 2022, when he and a female passenger were hurt after his Porsche went off State Road and rolled over multiple times in Sharon Township. The six-time All-Pro was cited for failing to control his vehicle due to unsafe speeds on what had been a wet and slick roadway.Garrett's latest citation occurred just hours after the Browns won their opening preseason game on the road against the Carolina Panthers Friday night. Garrett did not play in the exhibition, but was on the sidelines in Charlotte before presumably flying with the team back to Cleveland.
