According to a report in Dainik Jagran on August 9, Dayal, who played a big role in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) IPL 2025 title win earlier this year, will not represent the Gorakhpur Lions team, which signed him for Rs 7 lakh.It has been reported that following the registration of a case against Dayal at the Sanganer Sadar Police Station in Jaipur, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) has banned him from participating in the upcoming UP T20 League.Recommended StoriesAccording to a UPCA source, a case has been registered against Dayal, which is why the board doesn’t want him to play in the T20 league. The board has informed the franchise not to include him.Dayal’s record in IPLDayal has played for two teams – Gujarat Titans and RCB – in the IPL and has dismissed 41 batters in 43 matches. He won the IPL title with GT in 2022 under Hardik Pandya’s leadership, and in that season, he picked up 11 wickets in nine matches. In 2023, he was hit for five sixes in the last five balls of the match by KKR batter Rinku Singh.He joined RCB in the IPL 2024 auction and picked up 15 wickets for them in the 2024 edition of the world’s richest franchise cricket league.
