Former Liverpool star Luis Diaz has issued a heartwarming response to Mohamed Salah after completing his move to Bayern Munich. The Colombian ended his association with the Premier League champions after talks broke down over a new deal leading to the winger to express a desire to depart Anfield.



The English giants and the German outfit reached an agreement worth £65.5million for the former FC Porto forward which saw the Reds bank a healthy profit for a player heading into the final two years of his contract. The 28-year-old received an outpouring of support from his former teammates after making the switch the Bundesliga.



Following the Instagram message from the Egyptian icon, Diaz credited Salah will having a significant impact on his career and development.



In a comment on Salah's Instagram post, the Colombian replied: "Thank you, hermano @mosalah Your words mean a lot to me.

"From the first day, you welcomed me with warmth, respect, and support — not just as a teammate, but as a brother.

"I’ve learned so much from you, on and off the pitch.

"Your dedication and humility are an example to everyone in football, and I feel proud to have shared the field with someone like you. "No matter where life takes me next, I’ll carry these memories with me always.

"Much love to you and your family."

Salah heaped praise on Diaz for his quality as a teammate but also his resilience after the news from his native Colombia where his father was kidnapped for 13 days.



The Liverpool star wrote: "Your energy, drive, and passion on the pitch have left a mark that won’t be forgotten. We were truly lucky to have you at Liverpool, and it’s been an honour to share part of your journey and success story.

"As a teammate, you were more than reliable — you were inspiring. As a friend, even more so.

"We all saw the strength it took to keep going through the tough times off the pitch. What you went through would’ve broken most, but you came back strong and gave everything for the club.
