Chelsea target Marc Guiu has posted a cryptic Instagram story amid reports that he is on the verge of becoming Enzo Maresca's second signing. Already, the new Blues head coach has added Estevao Willian, with the talented Palmeiras winger set to arrive at Stamford Bridge next summer.

Reports have emerged that chiefs in West London have been discussing Barcelona teenager Guiu as they target an attacking addition this summer. The 18-year-old has made seven senior appearances for the Spanish giants, scoring twice, but is reportedly on the verge of a move to Stamford Bridge.

On Tuesday, the towering forward posted to his 1.5million Instagram followers via his story with a picture of a religious message that read: "God is making a way. Isaiah 43:19." It was claimed by Spanish newspaper AS that Chelsea will pay his £5million release clause and Fabrizio Romano suggested that the deal was done to bring the Spaniard to the Premier League.

"Marc Guiu to Chelsea, here we go! The club has just informed Barça on plan to trigger €6m release clause for 2006 born striker," he reported.

"Verbal agreement in place with Guiu’s agents, now proceeding with formal steps later this week. Guiu expected to sign long term deal at #CFC."

Chelsea have been fiercely speculating on incomings and departures throughout the opening weeks of the summer transfer window. The Blues pulled out of a deal to sign Michael Olise after the Crystal Palace winger reportedly opted for a move to the Bundesliga, signing for Bayern Munich under new manager Vincent Kompany.

The BBC claimed that Lille striker Jonathan David was also being discussed internally, while Aston Villa talisman Jhon Duran has been the subject of interest for the Blues. football.london reported earlier this month that Chelsea had been in touch with the 20-year-old's entourage in recent days and Villa are open to selling the striker this summer. That is, however, if a club is to offer in the region of £40-45million for Duran.
