It looks like John Metchie is getting a fresh start.The Houston Texans are trading the Canadian wide receiver to the Philadelphia Eagles, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday.Both teams are swapping late-round draft picks, while the Eagles are also sending tight end Harrison Bryant as part of the deal, per ESPN's DJ Bien-Aime.Metchie has struggled to get consistent playing time with the Texans since being selected by the team in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft.The Brampton, Ont., native missed a year of football after getting drafted in order to get treatment for acute promyelocytic leukemia.The 24-year-old caught 24 passes for 254 yards and one touchdown last season. He had five receptions for 45 yards on eight targets in Houston's pre-season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.Metchie will reunite with Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith, who played with the Canadian at Alabama.
