Enzo Maresca has the chance to advertise Chelsea as an attractive destination for top players this month. The Blues are back in action next week as they look to become the first team to win the summer edition of the FIFA Club World Cup.

The west Londoners, who have been drawn into Group D, will open their campaign against Los Angeles FC on Monday evening before locking horns with Flamengo on Friday night. Then, in the early hours of Wednesday morning, Chelsea will face Espérance Sportive de Tunis and hopefully qualify to the knockout stages.

United eye Chelsea and Liverpool target

According to the Mirror, Manchester United have started looking at alternatives to Viktor Gyokeres, who prefers a move to Arsenal. The report claims that the Red Devils are ready to ramp up interest in Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt, who has been heavily linked with moves to Chelsea and Liverpool this summer.

It's said that the Bundesliga outfit wants £80m for the 22-year-old striker. The Mirror reckon that United won't make a bid until the valuation is 'significantly' reduced.

Chelsea to make fresh Dortmund offer

According to Fabrizio Romano, Jamie Gittens wants to join Chelsea this summer. The report claims that the 20-year-old winger has informed directors at Borussia Dortmund of his decision and he plans to remain professional.

It's said that Gittens has already agreed personal terms with the Blues, who have put a seven-year contract on the table. Romano claims the youngster has given Chelsea his word, and he wants to swap the Signal Iduna Park for Stamford Bridge.

Rogers to Chelsea truth

A former Manchester United scout has tipped Aston Villa to fend off interest from Chelsea and keep Morgan Rogers this summer. Speaking to CaughtOffside, Mick Brown said: "Aston Villa want to keep hold of Rogers.

"I’m not surprised the top clubs are looking at him, because he’s been excellent. Having been called up by England and featuring heavily for them, it always increases the eyes on his performances and the clubs who are interested.

"His profile and the level of interest in him has gone up. Ultimately, though, he got into the team through his performances for Villa. They’re confident they can keep hold of him, even with these financial issues they’ve got.

"He plays such a key role in Unai Emery’s team, I don’t think he or they have any interest in letting him go any time soon. There are plenty of other players they could sell before they look at him."
