There will be plenty at stake when the IFAF European Flag Football Championships 2025 get underway in Paris from 24-27 September.

The top men's and women's teams from across the continent will meet at Parc Interdépartemental de Choisy Paris-Val-de-Marne in Paris, France, to battle it out for the regional flag crown.

With six of the world's top 10-ranked men's teams, and five of the women's, there will be stiff competition as Great Britain's women and Germany's men set out to defend their hard-fought titles from 2023.

Team GB, which finished fifth at the recent women's flag football competition at The World Games 2025 in Chengdu, arrive as the world's second-highest ranked team behind Austria, which finished fourth at the event in the People's Republic of China.

Germany's men, similarly, will expect a strong charge from neighbours Austria - the men's world No.3 - as well as hosts France, who will be making the most of being on home turf.

In all, 43 teams will be in action, marking a new record for an IFAF continental flag football event.

But, there's more than just regional rivalries at play.

As well as the European title, berths for the IFAF Flag Football World Championships 2026 in Düsselfdorf will also be on the line.

With Germany, the tournament's host, automatically qualified, six men's spots and six women's spots remain, adding an extra layer of intrigue for the attending teams.
