Jadon Sancho reacts to Marcus Rashford post as Man United exit looms

Marcus Rashford has caught the eye once again with his latest post on social media.

The 27-year-old is a born and bred Manchester United star and to date, has 138 goals and 77 assists to his name in 426 appearances for the club — winning five major trophies.

However, Rashford‘s form has taken a hit in the last couple of years, to the point where he spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa — where he registered four goals and six assists in 17 outings.

Rashford has been gravitating toward a Barcelona move this summer and regularly likes social media posts from Blaugrana wonderkid Lamine Yamal.

Marcus Rashford catches the eye with latest message

Despite the uncertainty around his future, Rashford has been working incredibly hard to keep in shape this summer, whether that be for United, Barca or somebody else.

At least, that’s the impression he’s giving on social media, with his latest post on Friday (18 July) showing him undergoing an intense workout and looking in peak physical shape.

Barcelona fans flooded the comments asking Rashford to move to the Camp Nou, but that wasn’t the only attention he attracted.

Rashford’s post was also liked by England teammates Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho.

The latter, of course, also faces an uncertain future, almost certain to leave Old Trafford himself this summer after spending last season on loan at Chelsea.

Man United finally make Mbeumo breakthrough

Rashford and Sancho may have just edged a little closer to the Old Trafford exit door, with Man United finally making a breakthrough in their push to sign Bryan Mbeumo.

The Red Devils have been chasing the Brentford forward all summer, with negotiations dragging out to the point where the club was even trolled by Domino’s Pizza.

But on Friday (18 July), transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano confirmed United had finally struck a deal worth up to £70million for Mbeumo, who had agreed personal terms weeks ago following his 20-goal haul in the 2024/25 Premier League.

The signing of Mbeumo — alongside the earlier capture of Matheus Cunha — should massively upgrade Man United’s attack, while also speeding up an exit for some wantaway stars like Rashford and Sancho, as well as Antony and Alejandro Garnacho.

Ruben Amorim’s work is not done this summer, with far more quality needed if United are to drag themselves back into the upper reaches of the Premier League table. However, finally signing Mbeumo is a great step forward.
