Archer had just removed Sundar with a sharp delivery clocked at 140 kph.It was full and angled in toward middle and leg, and Sundar, trying to flick it away, closed the face of his bat too early. The ball caught the outside half and popped up for Archer, who completed a brilliant caught-and-bowled dismissal.India’s innings, chasing 193 for victory, continued to unravel. By lunch on Day 5, they were reeling at 112 for 8, still needing 81 runs to pull off what would now take a near-miracle.Sundar’s dismissal followed the earlier collapse of top-order batters Yashasvi Jaiswal (0), Shubman Gill (6), and Karun Nair (14). Rishabh Pant and Akash Deep fell quickly too, both undone by Archer and Ben Stokes.KL Rahul stood out with a gritty 39, but his departure only added to India’s woes. Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten at lunch, with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj yet to bat.Earlier, India’s bowlers had done well to dismiss England for 192 in their second innings. Washington Sundar himself had starred with the ball, claiming 4/22.But his contribution with the bat was cut short in dramatic fashion, and England’s social media team didn’t miss a beat in reminding fans of it, with a tweet that’s now gone viral.
