Sportswear giant and official kit sponsor of the Indian cricket team, Adidas, on Monday unveiled the senior men's team's new T20I jersey. The sportswear manufacturer took to social media to share a video of the unveiling from Dharamsala. In the video, India captain Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav can be seen watching a giant-sized replica of the new Indian jersey flying over the iconic HPCA Stadium.

The new kit, as seen in the video, has a healthy mix of blue and orange. The shoulders of the shirt are orange while the remaining part is blue. Two orange stripes run toward the waist parallelly. The three trademark stripes of Adidas are in white on the new Indian T20I jersey. There is also a tri-coloured stripe around the collar of the shirt.

T20 World Cup Full Schedule

It remains to be seen if India will use the new jersey in the T20 World Cup. However, the timing of the revelation of the new kit by Adidas suggests that Rohit Sharma and his men will be wearing the orange and blue India jersey in the showpiece event, starting June 2 in the USA and the West Indies.

Notably, Adidas came on board as India's official kit sponsor in May 2023. The sportswear giants designed the kit for the World Test Championship final and the ODI World Cup last year. India's jersey for the ODI World Cup was a hit amongst fans as shirt sales spiked before the showpiece event, which was hosted by India.

Meanwhile, fans also shared photos of the rumoured new kit on social media as speculation about the T20 World Cup jersey intensified in the lead-up to the tournament.

Adidas have used intriguing ways to unveil India kits since they came on board as the kit sponsors. Their first set of India's Test, ODI and T20I jerseys were unveiled at the Wankhede Stadium last year.

India has been wearing Adidas kits since the BCCI announced a multi-year partnership with the sports apparel giants on May 23, 2023, marking the beginning of a new era in Indian cricket. This partnership came after the previous kit sponsor, MPL, decided to end its contract, which was set to expire in 2023. Prior to Adidas, the kit sponsorship was taken over by Killer Jeans, a clothing brand, from MPL.
