Indian tennis legend Sania Mirza’s ex-husband, Shoaib Malik, is in the news again, and this time it is for his separation from his third wife. According to reports in Pakistani media, Malik, who tied the knot with Sana in 2024, is heading for divorce with her.

It has been reported that things are not going well between the two, and they could soon announce separation from each other.

Malik, who is a former captain of Pakistan’s men’s cricket team, was married to Sania Mirza for 14 years before he stunned everyone by confirming the news of his relationship with Sana Javed in January 2024.

On numerous occasions in the past, Sana was seen cheering for Malik from the stands during Pakistan Super League (PSL) matches in the last couple of years, but now it is believed that everything is not going well.

Reports of their separation gathered momentum after a video of Sana and Shoaib avoiding each other went viral.

In the viral clip, Shoaib can be seen signing autographs while Sana keeps her face away from her husband, and they didn’t interact much.

While many fans believe that there is something off, others are stating that it was just a normal fight between husband and wife.

As of now, neither Malik nor Sana hasreleased any statement.

Malik’s record for Pakistan

43-year-old Malik, who led Pakistan to the final of the 2007 T20 World Cup, has played a total of 35 Tests, 287 ODIs and 124 T20Is for Men in Green so far. He has scored 1898 runs in Tests, 7534 runs in ODIs and 2435 runs in the T20I format for the Pakistani team. In addition, he has also picked up 32 wickets in Tests, 158 in ODIs and 28 in T20Is.

Malik last played for Pakistan on November 20, 2021, against Bangladesh during a T20I match in Mirpur.

He represented Quetta Gladiators in the 2025 edition of PSL but could only manage to score 14 runs in one innings of two matches. In the PSL, Malik has played 93 matches for four teams and amassed a total of 2350 runs.
