DJ plays jalebi baby instead of Pakistan national anthem, leaves players baffled (Watch)

A massive goof-up in the Indian vs Pakistan game left the players visibly surprised on Sunday, September 14. As the Pakistan players readied themselves for their national anthem ahead of the match, the DJ made a massive mistake and played 'Jalebi Baby' instead, leaving the players and the fans baffled.

The Pakistan players had their hands on their hearts, but were left irritated by the mistake after the Jason Derulo x Tesher track was played on the loudspeaker. The mistake was however quickly fixed and Pakistan's Pak Sarzamin Shad Bad was played instead.

This is not the first time that a national anthem goof-up has happened with Pakistan. The country's cricket board were left red-faced in the Champions Trophy when the Indian national anthem was mistakenly played in Lahore. In the match between Australia and England, the DJ mistakenly played Jana Gana Mana instead of the Australian national anthem on February 22.

The Australian players and the crowd at the Gaddafi Stadium were taken by surprise before the organisers realised the blunder and stopped the Indian national anthem. Order was restored when Advance Australia Fair was eventually played in Lahore.

The incident was an embarrassing one for Pakistan given India had refused to travel to the country for the Champions Trophy. In the tournament, India had played all their matches in Dubai and also ended up winning the ICC title, one that Pakistan hosted.

Suryakumar Yadav's India blew away Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 group-stage match. After restricting Pakistan to just 127 runs in the first innings, India chased it down in just 15.5 overs, with 7 wickets remaining. India dominated from the word go and built up incredible pressure on Pakistan with early wickets. Suryakumar's team did leak a little bit of runs in the end, but nothing that they could not chase down.

With the bat, Abhishek Sharma smashed Shaheen Shah Afridi in the first over, and set the tone for the chase. Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube remained unbeaten as India chased the target down with 25 balls remaining.

Kuldeep Yadav won the player of the match award, his second in a row in the tournament.
