Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said they responded to a stabbing at 5:42 p.m. PT on Wednesday along the 1500 block of South Buffalo Drive. According to reports, the altercation started because of a “door ding” in a parking lot. The victim’s girlfriend said she and her boyfriend, a youth football coach, were sitting in a parking lot when an SUV opened its door and hit their driver’s side door, prompting the victim to get out of the car to check for damage.

Brown, allegedly, was immediately verbally confrontational. After the victim responded by slapping a side mirror on Brown’s vehicle, Brown retaliated with profanity. As the victim turned his back, Brown, with an unnamed object, “swung his arm in a stabbing motion,” striking the coach in his back. The victim attempted to run away, but Brown reportedly caught him and stabbed him in the abdomen.

The victim and his girlfriend eventually drove away to a local pharmacy, where they called police. Officers arrived and located a man who appeared to have suffered several stab wounds, according to the report. According to TMZ, the victim is in critical condition after suffering stab wounds and broken ribs, among other injuries.

Brown was stopped a short distance away from the scene and eventually detained, the statement said.
