Mbeumo joined United from Brentford in a £71million deal on Monday and the 25-year-old has linked up with his new team-mates ahead of their pre-season tour of the US.The squad flew out to America on Tuesday, where they will take part in the Premier League Summer Series and face West Ham, Bournemouth and Everton. However, United took part in one last training session at Carrington before boarding their flight.And Amorim gathered the rest of the squad together to welcome the new addition, with the Red Devils boss leading a round of applause. Mbeumo is United's third senior signing so far this summer, with Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon having joined from Wolves and Cerro Porteno respectively.Mbeumo rejected the chance to reunite with former Brentford boss Thomas Frank at Tottenham and he has explained why he was so keen to sign for United. "From the start, I wanted to join this massive club. Now I'm here, I'm just really happy," he said."For me, it's the biggest club in the world. The fans are crazy, the stadium is amazing, and every player wants to play here. My first top was Manchester United's top with [Cristiano] Ronaldo behind. It's just such a big club and I'm really happy to be here."Mbeumo has also hailed Amorim, adding: "He seems really close to his players. His mentality, his winning thinking every time, this is the thing I need. I always wanted to play at the highest level. Now I'm here and I just want to show what I can do.Article continues below"It seems to be a really good group, the spirit is really important and I've only heard good things about the gaffer and the team. It's really important for me to create links as soon as possible with my team-mates, in and out of the pitch."Spirit is important and I want to be involved as soon as possible. My dream was to become a football player and play for one of the biggest teams in the world.
