2025 Crows Club Champion: Every award winner

1
Adelaide Captain Jordan Dawson capped a standout 2025 AFL campaign by winning a third-straight Malcolm Blight Medal.

Dawson became the first Crow to win the Club’s highest individual honour three years in a row when he was awarded the medal at Adelaide’s Club Champion award on Saturday night.

In 2025, the 28-year-old averaged career best returns in contested possessions (9.5), clearances (4.4) and pressure acts (21.8).

Dawson amassed more than 20 disposals in 20 out of the 25 games he lined up in, and recorded 30-plus possessions in two matches - Round Two against Essendon and Round Four against Gold Coast.

Forward Izak Rankine led the count after round six with 40 votes, in front of Ben Keays (39) and Dawson (37).

Dawson then jumped ahead, to sit on 67 votes at the end of Round 11 in front of Riley Thilthorpe and Rankine, (63 votes apiece).

The Skipper never looked back and led from then onwards to claim a third-straight gold jacket.

Here is every award winner from our 2025 Club Champion night.

Members’ MVP Award - Jordan Dawson

Jordan Dawson was not only recognised by the coaches for his outstanding season, but also by the Crows' Members.

Members have voted on their MVP of the season every year since 1998 and it is the second time Dawson has won the award, having claimed it in 2022.

Dr. Brian Sando OAM Trophy - Ben Keays

Crows forward Ben Keays was once again recognised for his professionalism and preparation to play at the highest level.

The award was introduced in 2012 to honour the memory of long-serving Crows doctor and life member Brian Sando OAM.

It is the third time Keays has claimed the accolade, having won the award in 2022 and 2024.

Mark Bickley Emerging Talent Award - Dan Curtin

Young star Dan Curtin was rewarded for a breakout season with the Mark Bickley Emerging Talent Award.

Curtin, who was in his second AFL season at the Crows, lined up in every game this season, including Adelaide’s two finals.

The utility, who also swung forward at times during the season, averaged 13.2 disposals across 23 games, having claimed 26 disposals on two occasions (R6 v Richmond, and R18 v the Bulldogs).

Curtin received a Rising Star nomination in Round 13, and finished runner-up in the award, polling 35 votes in the League-wide award, behind Fremantle’s Murphy Reid, who topped the count with 49.

Crows Foundation Community Award - Nick Murray

Defender Nick Murray took home the Crows Foundation Community Award.

It was Murray’s first time winning the award and he was recognised for his advocacy in drought support for South Australian farmers.

The 24-year-old led the Drought Support Program, which delivered community based activations in three heavily impacted regions; Murray Bridge, Clare and Mannum.

These areas were selected for their deep exposure to drought and their distance from traditional AFL community initiatives.

More than 1800 community members participated in events that went far beyond sport, including football clinics, BBQs, informal meet-and-greets with players, and had access to wellbeing support delivered through local service providers.

Leading Goal Kicker – Riley Thilthorpe

Forward Riley Thilthorpe was crowned Adelaide’s 2025 leading goal kicker for the first time.

The 23-year-old produced a career-best campaign, kicking 60 goals across 25 games.

Adelaide’s top pick from the 2020 National Draft recorded career-high averages in goals (2.4), disposals (13.7), marks (5.7) and hit-outs (6.4).

He also booted six goals in Round 18 against Western Bulldogs, as well five-goal hauls in rounds four against Gold Coast, and 16 against Richmond.

Players Trademark – Jordan Dawson

Adelaide Skipper Jordan Dawson claimed the Players’ Trademark Award for a third consecutive year.

The Award is voted on by the players and coaches, and is presented to the person who best embodied the players' trademark throughout the season.

It is another accolade for Dawson, who also won a third Malcolm Blight Medal, as well as the Member’s MVP.

Phil Walsh Best Team Man – Alex Neal-Bullen

Adelaide forward Alex Neal-Bullen was awarded the Phil Walsh Best Team Man.

The Best Team Man Award has been presented every year since the Club’s inaugural season.

It was renamed in 2015 in honour of the late Crows coach and recognises the Club’s most selfless player who lives and breathes ‘team-first’ - a staple mantra of Walsh.

SANFL Club Champion – Chris Burgess

Chris Burgess was named the Crows’ SANFL Club Champion on Saturday night.

Burgess was instrumental in Adelaide’s campaign, playing 18 games, including the Crows’ State League finals series, and booting 56 goals.

The 29-year-old kicked a seven-goal haul against North Adelaide in Round 11, as well as four goals in five separate matches.

Burgess also averaged 11.96 disposals and 5.4 marks in 2025.

Dean Bailey Award – Jay Boyle

Crows development player Jay Boyle claimed the 2025 Dean Bailey Award, winning it for a third time.

The Dean Bailey Award is judged on performance, dedication to training and overall commitment to the team.

Boyle featured in 20 SANFL games for the Crows this year, and averaged 15.6 possessions, 5.6 tackles, and three clearances.

The 27-year-old previously claimed back-to-back Dean Bailey Awards in 2021 and 2022.
