Lennon Miller offered lucrative contract as Motherwell boss confirms if Celtic target will play against Rangers

Lennon Miller’s future still continues to rumble on.

Celtic have been linked with Miller for months and the boyhood Hoops fan has always felt destined to play at Celtic Park.

The 18-year-old has lit up the Scottish Premiership and grabbed the attention of several clubs around Europe.

Miller’s dad has confirmed he wants to play at the highest level and the midfielder’s future could finally be resolved.

Bologna set to make huge offer for Lennon Miller

As well as Celtic, Miller is of interest to a number of sides in Italy.

Udinese were recently tipped to be the favourites, however, Football Italia have claimed that Bologna are now in the driving seat and have offered a four-year contract.

Bologna won the Coppa Italia last season and already have Scotland international Lewis Ferguson in their ranks.

With Miller out of contract in June 2026, the teenager would be allowed to talk to clubs about a pre-contract deal in January.

Motherwell boss hints that Lennon Miller could feature against Rangers

So far this season, the midfielder hasn’t been involved in any of Motherwell’s Premier Sports Cup campaign so far.

But, with the Scottish Premiership season beginning this weekend and the Steelmen facing Rangers, Miller’s manager Jens Berthel Askou has said there is a chance he could be involved.

He said: “I don’t expect his situation to be resolved in the next few days.

“There’s nothing new on Lennon Miller so right now he’s still our player and he’s back in little bit of training and I look forward to seeing him on Monday.

“There is a possibility of him playing against Rangers but again we will have to get some answers next week.

“It’s not ruled out.”
