Patriots Wideout Implores New England To Add Nine-Time Pro Bowler

There has been a ton of Patriots talk this offseason about improving Drake Maye’s supporting cast for his sophomore season and beyond.

Could a standout fullback be among those reinforcements?

Kendrick Bourne certainly is hoping so. After the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported about the San Francisco 49ers’ intent to release Kyle Juszczyk, the veteran New England receiver took to social media to campaign for the nine-time Pro Bowl selection.

“Do it!!!!!!,” Bourne posted to X in response to an idea to pair Juszczyk with new Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.

Of course, Juszczyk and Bourne know each other quite well. Both joined the 49ers ahead of the 2017 season and played four campaigns together, which included a run to Super Bowl LIV. Juszczyk was a very important piece of those dynamic offenses under Kyle Shanahan, and he was recognized for his efforts with a first-team All-Pro nod in 2023 and a second-team All-Pro honor last season.

It’s unclear if the Patriots are interested in Juszczyk or if the 33-year-old would want to join Mike Vrabel’s group. But for what it’s worth, the versatile fullback already is familiar with the area after playing collegiate football at Havard.
