Spanish agent assisting Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford amid Barcelona transfer interestMarcus Rashford is seeking guidance from the same intermediary who helped broker his loan move to Aston Villa.Rashford last played for United in DecemberManchester United forward Marcus Rashford has sounded out Spanish intermediaries in an attempt to engineer a transfer to Barcelona.Rashford has sought advice from the AC Talent agency, which boasts several Spanish clients, in the hope of brokering a move having publicly outlined his desire to move to Barca last month.Arturo Canales, the head of AC Talent, helped to facilitate Rashford's loan move to Aston Villa in February. Rashford's brother, Dane, is listed as an agent by the Football Association but his older brother Dwaine Maynard is not.Dane Rashford was added as a person with significant control to the DN May Sports management agency's filings in December, weeks before Rashford joined Villa on loan.Rashford is one of five players not involved in United's pre-season training sessions amid his wish to leave the club that he has spent 20 years at.He is on a rigorous individual training programme and conducted a four-hour session at a gym in Salford on Monday. Rashford has also used United's facilities at their Carrington training complex but is arriving on site only after the first team has left.United are preparing for the possibility of sending Rashford out on loan for the entirety of the forthcoming season. Rashford wants to join a Champions League club and is not entertaining the prospect of a potentially lucrative move to Saudi Arabia or Turkey.Club sources are doubtful that they will receive the £40million they value Rashford at and expect him to move abroad. Although Rashford has not ruled out joining a Premier League club, he does not want to move to London.Sources close to Rashford insist he is not prepared to take a wage cut on his £325,000-a-week salary. He is under contract at United until 2028.Rashford scored four goals in 17 appearances on loan for Aston Villa in the second half of 2024-25 before a hamstring injury ended his season early in April.Barcelona have long appealed to Rashford while Paris Saint-Germain expressed interest in the past and met Maynard in August 2022. PSG have since rebranded their first team and won their maiden European Cup with a younger and less egocentric squad.Wingers Raphinha and Lamine Yamal are automatic picks at Barcelona, where the 36-year-old Robert Lewandowski is still their main striker.
