Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 11 runs on Thursday, September 25, to qualify for the final of the Asia Cup 2025. In the final of the Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan will now face India. The summit clash of the Asia Cup 2025 between India and Pakistan is scheduled to take place at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, September 28.

In the match against Bangladesh, which was a must-win for Pakistan, left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up 3 wickets for 17 runs in four overs. He opened his wicket account by dismissing Parvez Hossain Emon for a two-ball duck on the fifth ball of the run chase and then picked up Towhid Hridoy’s (5) and Shamim Hossain’s (30) wickets.

After winning the Player of the Match award in Pakistan’s win over Bangladesh, Shaheen was asked about the final against India, and he fired a warning to the Suryakumar Yadav-led side by saying, “We are ready."

During the post-match presentation, Pakistan’s captain Salman Ali Agha was asked about the India-Pakistan final on Sunday, and he said, “We are a good enough team to beat anyone. We will come back on Sunday and try and do that."

In the Group A match played on September 14, India secured a win by 7 wickets, and in the Super 4s match played on Sunday, September 21, India defeated the Men in Green by 6 wickets. The Men in Blue will look to complete the hat-trick of wins over Pakistan on September 28 and become Asia Cup champions for the record-extending ninth time.
