From day one, the love has been crazy and I felt it every time I stepped on that pitch.“Grateful for the memories, the lessons, and the chance to wear that shirt with pride.“Big love to my teammates, coaches and all the backroom staff, and to the City Ground faithful… you all made it special. I’ll never forget that feeling of walking out to your energy.“Time for the next chapter. But this one? Forever in my heart. Thank you @officialnffc.”Losing Elanga is a significant blow with the winger integral to Reds’ fortunes over the past two seasons. With 11 goals and 21 assists in the two years since his switch from Manchester United, Elanga has been a consistent producer at the top of the pitch. He’s been a reliable presence in the side too. With 43 appearances in all competitions, he played in all but one of Forest’s matches last season. The 23-year-old will now get the chance to play Champions League football, and to play alongside international team-mate Alexander Isak as long as he does not leave St James’ Park.He could be one of two high-profile departures at the City Ground amid Morgan Gibbs-White's potential move to Tottenham, but that transfer is on hold for now.Do you think £55m is a fair fee for Elanga?
