Frank Lampard was putting injured Coventry City players Josh Eccles and Victor Torp through a fitness test today (Fri) to see if they will be available for Saturday’s trip to Sheffield Wednesday. The midfielders both experienced injury issues in Wednesday night’s 4-0 win at Millwall and left the field early – Torp in the 53rd minute after he aggravated an ankle injury that forced him to miss the end of last season, and Eccles on 72 minutes when he was suffering with a sore ‘glute’.But the Sky Blues boss is not ruling out the pair being available for the 12.30pm kick-off at Hillsborough. Providing an update on the duo, he said: “Josh had a big problem in his glute which we are managing and hopefully he comes out and trains this morning (Fri) and then we’ll work out whether he’s ready for the game.“The same goes with Victor Torp who has got an ankle injury, so we’ll train this morning and see how it works out.“And then the general group are recovering with hardly anything on the pitch. We’ve got our recovery in place, which we’re trying to improve all the time here in terms of making sure that we recover the players to their optimum. But in a tight turnaround you do everything you can and hope that the players are in as good a condition as can be.”Star play-maker Jack Rudoni, meanwhile, continues to be sidelined for an unspecified number of weeks.Asked if there’s any update on the player, Lampard said: “No, not at the minute. He’s not available and won’t be for weeks.”Asked if there are any scan results showing the extent of the problem, he added: “He’s got a calf injury, yeah. It’s not months, but weeks. We’ll have to see.”What's your score prediction?
