Carson Beck apparently has had a change of heart.

The injured Georgia quarterback, who announced less than two weeks ago that he was declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, is entering the transfer portal, multiple reports said Thursday, a sign that he could be plotting to use his final year of NCAA eligibility.

Miami, whose quarterback Cam Ward is projected to go near the top of the draft, is the favorite to land Beck, according to ESPN.

Beck, 22, missed Georgia’s CFP quarterfinal loss to Notre Dame after undergoing elbow surgery.

Beck’s girlfriend, Hanna Cavinder, is currently playing for Miami’s women’s basketball team.

On Dec. 28, Beck wrote on social media that he was declaring for the draft.

“The past five years at the University of Georgia have been nothing short of a dream come true and I will forever cherish the memories that have been made,” Beck wrote. “Thank you Dawg Nation for the time i’ve been here and to those who’ve supported and believed in me, thank you. It’s been an incredible journey and all these moments have ultimately led me to take the next step in my football career. With that being said, I will be declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. Go Dawgs!”

Beck’s draft stock went down this year as he threw for 3,485 yards, 28 touchdowns and an SEC-high 12 interceptions in 13 games.

After he was a backup on Georgia’s national championship teams in 2021 and ’22, Beck took over as the starter last season and in 14 games threw for 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns and six interceptions.
