Paul Pogba has been training with Man United stars as Red Devils duo fly out before pre-season

Former Manchester United star Paul Pogba has been busy preparing for his potential return to football.

Paul Pogba left Manchester United in 2022 – ending his second spell at the club six years after his record-breaking £89 million move.

Despite some brilliant performances for United over those six years, Paul Pogba left with a whimper having failed to have the transformative effect that Jose Mourinho hoped he would in Manchester.

After leaving, Pogba was hit with a doping ban at Juventus, but the French midfielder is now free to sign for a new club.

Pogba has been training in America in preparation for his return, and two current United stars have jetted out to join him.

On Saturday, it was revealed that Leny Yoro and Kobbie Mainoo were nominated for the 2025 Golden Boy award following their impressive 2024/25 campaigns.

Both youngsters will hope to be even better next year, but for now, they can enjoy some time off before United’s 2025 pre-season schedule gets going.

United will travel to the United States, but it seems Yoro and Mainoo have already headed Stateside and met up with Pogba.

Via Instagram, Pogba posted a photo posing alongside Yoro and Mainoo at a running track, suggesting the three have potentially been training together.

Still yet to sign with a new club, Pogba has been offered to Monaco, but has also held talks with MLS club DC United.

Kobbie Mainoo could learn from Paul Pogba

As a technical yet powerful central midfielder, Mainoo could probably learn a thing or two from Pogba during their time together.

Pogba won the World Cup with France during his time at Old Trafford as well as lifting the League Cup and Europa League with the Red Devils.

Mainoo shares a very similar profile to Pogba, and while the Frenchman clearly had his flaws, he did produce some masterful performances in midfield.

Mainoo struggled to make his way into Ruben Amorim’s starting lineup last season, but he will hope to rise up the pecking order in 2025/26.

For that to happen, he will have to once again impress in pre-season, and it seems he is getting a nice head start with Yoro and Pogba.
