Mark Goldbridge will become the first ‘content creator’ to broadcast major European league football after his YouTube channel secured the rights to show German Bundesliga matches live this season.

In conjunction with Gary Neville’s ‘The Overlap’ channel and the BBC, Goldbridge – who hosts a popular Manchester United ‘watchalong’ channel on YouTube – will screen 20 live free-to-air German top tier games on Friday nights.

The BBC will begin their live coverage with this Friday’s clash between champions Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig at the Allianz Arena (kick-off 7.30pm).

Goldbridge’s channel posted on X: “That’s Football will stream 20 live Bundesliga matches on Friday nights as well as creating 34 weekly shows in 25/26 – the first creator channel with official league rights.

“A landmark deal putting That’s Football alongside Sky, BBC & Amazon in the Bundesliga UK strategy.”

Goldbridge, whose real name is Brent di Cesare, also wrote: “Thanks to the community for helping us build this. We keep moving.”

Previously, live Bundesliga rights were held by Sky Sports, which has retained the Saturday 5.30pm fixtures.

The German champions’ clash with RB Leipzig will air this Friday across the BBC Sport website, app and the iPlayer.

Director of BBC Sport Alex Kay-Jelski, said: “To be able to include Bundesliga matches within our live football offering is phenomenal, especially Bayern Munich's opening game with England captain Harry Kane.”
