Former World #1 Tennis Star Channels His Inner Ahn Hyo Seop With "Soda Pop" Dance Cover

He did it for his daughter.

Former world number one tennis star Novak Djokovic showed he is also a fan of K-Pop Demon Hunters with his little dance after winning his Quarterfinals round at the US Open.

Novak Djokovic is currently the seventh ranked player in the world and has the record for most weeks ranked number one, with 428 weeks at the top of the world.

He is participating at the 2025 US Open, one of four tennis tournaments that are part of the prestigious Grand Slam, with the others being the Australian Open, French Open, and Wimbledon.

He recently played his Quarterfinals round against world number four Taylor Fritz, where he won three sets to one (6-4, 7-5, 3-6, 6-4).

Following his victory, he showed off a little bit of a dance that any K-Pop fan would immediately recognize.

He later stated that the day of his match was his daughter’s 8th birthday, so he wanted to do something fun for her to celebrate.

Actually, the dance in the end was uh… I probably… she’s going to rate me tomorrow because she taught me how to dance. It’s K-Pop Demon Hunters… ‘Soda Pop’ is the name of the song. Obviously it’s a big thing globally, for teenagers and kids, but I didn’t know about it before my daughter told me a few months ago about it, so we’re at home doing different choreographies and this is one of them so hopefully I’ll make her smile when she wakes up tomorrow morning. — Novak Djokovic
