The Indian cricket team will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in their second game of the ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Sunday.

India women won their opening match in the tournament after beating Sri Lanka by 59 runs (DLS method).

Deepti Sharma also led the way with the ball for India, finishing with figures off 3/54 to cap off an all-round performance that saw her bag the Player of the Match award.

Pakistan cricket team, on the other hand, suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Bangladesh in their tournament opener.

After being bundled out for a mere 129, Pakistan failed to defend their paltry total as Bangladesh strolled to the target with seven wickets and more than 18 overs to spare.

In terms of the head-to-head between these teams in T20Is, India hold the upper hand having won 13 of the 16 encounters played so far. Pakistan have won three times.
