Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan will likely be making his return to the national T20I team for the upcoming tri-series against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe at home. The cricketer last played international cricket for Pakistan back in May and June during their three-match home series against Bangladesh.

Already out of Pakistan’s Test and ODI setups for the past few years, Shadab Khan has missed Pakistan’s away T20I series against Bangladesh, a tour of West Indies, a tri-series in the UAE, the entirety of the 2025 Men’s T20 Asia Cup and the recently-concluded home series against South Africa since he last made his T20I appearance.

Shadab Khan tipped to make Pakistan return after impressing selectors

Shadab Khan has missed over five months’ worth of international cricket for Pakistan owing to his shoulder injury. The ace all-rounder recently appeared in a practice game in Lahore, where his performance was examined by National Cricket Academy head Aaqib Javed as well as by the national selectors, as reported by PTI.

Shadab Khan played the match after completing his rehabilitation process at the NCA under the supervision of the medical team.

The report also indicate that the cricketer could become a last-minute addition to the Pakistan team for the upcoming 2025 T20I tri-series.

The tri-series will launch from Monday, November 17 onwards next week with a match between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

As of now, no official confirmation has been made yet by the PCB or the selection committee in regards to the return of Shadab Khan. The cricketer picked up four wickets in three games and scored 55 runs in two innings in his last series to star in Pakistan’s 3-0 win over Bangladesh.
