Lammens agrees personal terms

Manchester United have agreed personal terms with goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Antwerp who will replace Andre Onana.

Lammens, who kept 10 clean sheets for Antwerp last season, was linked with United earlier this year and was asked if he would be open to a move to the North West to which he said it was funny that such a large team had been monitoring him.

Lammens finds United interest funny

"The first time I heard it, I thought. 'Wow, a world team that follows you. That is special'.

"Of course, I was also spoken to about it a lot and when I made a save in training, it was United this, United that. Funny, I would do it the other way around too. But you can't dwell on it for too long. They are still just rumours

"Those top clubs have so many scouts and follow so many players. So it doesn't have to mean anything yet. It will only become clear in the summer whether anything comes of it.

"But of course it's only positive. Especially because it's the best competition in the world and my profile – my stature and way of playing – is similar to English football. You have to physically hold your own there and that suits me.”

Lammens agrees personal terms

Now, journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that the shot stopper has agreed terms with The Red Devils as manager Ruben Amorim seeks a replacement for the ever inconsistent Andre Onana.

“Understand Manchester United are still working on deal to sign Senne Lammens, talks underway.

“Personal terms are almost agreed and Man United are in active talks for the Belgian goalkeeper.

“#MUFC try to anticipate more clubs from France and Italy, also based on exits.”

Lammens established himself as Antwerp’s first-choice goalkeeper in the 2024-25 season, earning fan-voted Player of the Month awards and a call-up to the senior Belgium squad. Lammens has already admitted he would find it difficult to turn down a move to United and it seems like Amorim has found his new man between the sticks.
