The Gaelic Grounds is sunlit and buzzing and primed for nothing other than championship football. It’s an unusual position they find themselves in. There is a lengthy gap between the semi-final win over Wicklow and the decider. The flagship team in the county has already departed the scene. That leaves a welcome window of unfiltered access to the county grounds and some overdue coverage of the footballers' campaign.
