Manchester United have struggled to offload players this transfer window, and may need a helping hand.Aside from the free agent exits of Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans, the Old Trafford exit door has barely been used this summer.Hopes of a summer clearout have yet to come to fruition. There do not appear to be serious bids on the horizon, which is holding up United’s incoming deals too.One action United have taken is to exclude five players from an early pre-season return. Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Tyrell Malacia have been urged to focus on finding new clubs, and are expected to train separately. One solution might open up with Tyrell Malacia, the lowest valued of all five players.Photo by Marcel ter Bals/DeFodi Images/DeFodi via Getty ImagesTyrell Malacia will be considered by FeyenoordTyrell Malacia has no future at Manchester United. This decision was effectively made back in January.Despite Malacia’s fightback from a serious knee injury, Ruben Amorim decided to send him out on loan after taking a look at him in action.Amorim has since signed left-backs Patrick Dorgu and Diego Leon, blocking the pathway for Malacia.More United NewsNow a possible return to his former club, Feyenoord, is being touted. Former Manchester United star Robin van Persie is current manager.Dutch journalist Martijn Krabbendam of Voetbal International believes Tyrell Malacia will be an option for them.“Van Persie prefers a Dutch player, and I think he fits the profile.“I’m not saying they’ll do it, but he’ll definitely be discussed,” he was quoted by Football Transfers.Feyenoord are still assessing options, having looked at Roma’s Anass Salah-Eddine previously, and Wolves’ Santiago Bueno.Malacia exit for the bestMalacia is optimistic about the year ahead, having missed the last two pre-seasons at Manchester United due to injury. But his future is elsewhere, and may well lie in the Netherlands.Malacia spent the second half of last season on loan at PSV Eindhoven, where he picked up a league medal, while starting only three games. His spell was underwhelming, and PSV chose not to take up a purchase clause.United have struggled to find interest in Malacia, who cost £13 million as Erik ten Hag’s first signing in summer 2022.By the end of the transfer window, United will find a way to move him on, and if Van Persie’s Feyenoord come to the rescue to bring him back, it is unlikely he would cost much at all.
