Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar praised Jasprit Bumrah for taking a fifer against England at Leeds on Sunday while also subtly pointing out India’s missed chances on the field. While Bumrah’s fifer helped India bowl out England for 465, the score might have been even less had India taken all their catching chances on the field.

Off Bumrah’s bowling alone, India dropped 4 catches, three by Yashasvi Jaiswal and one by Ravindra Jadeja with Harry Brook getting reprieve twice, once on 46 and then on 82. The England batter would fail to reach three figures, getting caught by Shardul Thakur off Prasidh Krishna on 99, but he had already done enough damage to India by the time he walked back.
