Forget Rasmus Hojlund's display, two ex-Man Utd men achieved the unthinkable in 10-0 rout

On a night where former Manchester United man Rasmus Hojlund stole the headlines, it was two former Red Devils who arguably went one better on the international stage.

Hojlund is enjoying life away from Manchester United, with the Danish forward scoring freely in the Champions League and Serie A for Napoli.

It came after a summer of uncertainty at Manchester United for the 22-year-old, who was sidelined by Ruben Amorim and deemed not good enough to wear the Old Trafford jersey.

An opinion he is proving wrong every day, and again this time internationally, scoring twice and assisting once for his country.

Rasmus Hojlund shines for Denmark

Denmark hammered Belarus 6-0, with Rasmus Hojlund taking home the man-of-the-match award.

The striker played 77 minutes, scoring twice and assisting once. Unlike his Manchester United days, he was clinical in front of goal.

Current United star Patrick Dorgu also got on the scoresheet, set up by Hojlund for Denmark’s third goal of the night.

But while a 6-0 victory is impressive, it’s nothing compared to Austria’s performance.

Ralf Rangnick and Marcel Sabitzer contribute to Austria romping

Ex-Red Devils boss Ralf Rangnick led Austria to a stunning 10-0 victory over San Marino on Tuesday night.

Former West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic scored four goals, while ex-United midfielder Marcel Sabitzer provided two assists and created the most chances (three) in a fine display.

Sabitzer operated in a slightly different role, playing on the left wing under Rangnick’s tactics.

Even more remarkably, all 10 of Austria’s starting outfield players either scored or assisted during the game. Something that is downright unthinkable in football.

It was a memorable night for Austria and another impressive achievement for Rangnick, who continues to excel in his managerial career after Manchester United.
