Man Utd Ready to Pay £63m+ to Sign 'Insane' Forward, Deal Being Finalised

Manchester United are now ready to pay £63m plus add-ons to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo, with the final details still being agreed, according to journalist Rudy Galetti.

It looks set to be an important summer transfer window for the Red Devils after such a disappointing season. United finished in the bottom half of the Premier League table and failed to qualify for European football, but that didn't impact their efforts to sign Matheus Cunha, who joined the club from Wolves earlier in the window.

The Brazilian international was a smart addition to Ruben Amorim's side as the Portuguese manager looks to transform United's attack. The Manchester club don't appear to be stopping there though, with a host of forward additions being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

Final details now being finalised

According to journalist Rudy Galetti, Manchester United are now willing to pay £63m plus add-ons to sign Brentford forward Mbeumo. Personal terms have already been verbally agreed, and the final details with Brentford as expected to be finalised soon.

The ‘insane’ Cameroonian forward enjoyed an impressive Premier League campaign with the Bees last time out, contributing 28 goals and assists combined. Mbeumo is comfortable playing all across the forward line, which could make him a useful option in Amorim's system.

The additions of Cunha and Mbeumo would certainly be a good start to the window for United, especially after such a disappointing campaign in terms of their production in the final third. The aforementioned duo contributed significantly in sides competing to finish in the top half, and it could be time for them to go to the next level.

Despite United failing to qualify for Europe and enduring a disastrous season, they are showing that they are still able to attract players. This is Amorim's first summer window in charge of the Red Devils, and it's a crucial one as they aim to head back in the right direction.
