Pakistan Shaheens posted a commanding total of 369 runs for the loss of 8 wickets at stumps on the first day of their final three-day match against MCC Young Cricketers XI and South Asian Cricket Academy in Canterbury, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Shaheens fielded a 15-member squad—similar to their opponents—in this tour-ending contest.

Wicketkeeper-batter Rohail Nazir led the charge, remaining unbeaten on 98 runs, laced with 14 boundaries.

Partnered with Muaaz Sadaqat, who is not out on 25, the pair has so far added a vital 72-run partnership for the ninth wicket, stabilizing the innings after middle-order stumbles.

This match marks the final fixture of the Pakistan Shaheens' England tour, during which they have already played a three-match One-Day series and another three-day encounter.

Umair bin Yousuf scored a fluent 68 runs, laced with one six and five fours.

He stitched together a crucial 91-run stand with Rohail Nazir for the seventh wicket.

Ali Zaryab added 44 runs, hitting three boundaries, and partnered with captain Saud Shakeel for a 67-run third-wicket stand.

Saud Shakeel himself chipped in with 35 runs, while Shamil Hussain (33) and Mohammad Suleman (23) made handy contributions in the middle order.

Mubasir Khan, playing a counterattacking knock, struck 30 runs, including one six and three fours, sharing a 57-run partnership with Umair bin Yousuf for the sixth wicket.
