Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma turned 37 on April 30. Boasting of a colossal fanbase, a vast number of his followers took to numerous social media sites and poured wishes for the legendary opening batter.

Amidst the euphoria surrounding the momentous occasion, Rohit Sharma also received a significant and a heartwarming birthday wish from his mother, Purnima Sharma.

Rohit Sharma’s mother Purnima Sharma took to her Instagram account on April 30 and shared a throwback picture of herself alongside her son.

Considering she posted the same on a significant occasion for her son, the picture she shared soon gained much traction across all social media platforms.

Rohit Sharma, meanwhile, is currently plying his trade for the Mumbai Indians franchise in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season.

The dashing opening batter has already punched out 311 runs from nine IPL 2024 innings at an average of nearly 39, and is currently the second highest run-scorer for his team this season behind young Tilak Varma.

Soon after the conclusion of the tournament, the 37-year-old will be seen leading his Indian troops at the forthcoming T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and in the United States.

As of now, Sharma is prepping himself to face the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) group. The much-awaited contest will be hosted by the iconic Ekana International Stadium in Lucknow on April 30.
