NFL Week 3 staff picks: Moneyline, spread, over/under predictions

As the NFL enters Week 3 of their regular season, we regret to inform the fanbases of the following teams that their chances of postseason success is effectively dead and over: Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, New York Giants, New York Jets, Tennessee Titans, Kansas City Chiefs, and Miami Dolphins. Better luck next year.

As we have done in past seasons, our staff will be making weekly predictions for every game on the NFL schedule. Each of the Pride of Detroit staff will pick the moneyline (winner of the game, no spread), but some of the members will also pick against the spread and even the over/under lines—there’s an easy-to-use toggle button in the widget below to cycle through the settings and in the week’s ahead, check out our records when it comes to making picks. You can also check out all of the odds for this week’s games courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Thursday’s offering could get ugly in a hurry when two divisional rivals headed in opposite directions are set to square off. The Miami Dolphins head to upstate New York to take on the Buffalo Bills on Amazon Prime at 8:15 p.m. ET.

On Sunday, the NFL has 14 games scheduled, and the local Detroit audience will have a couple of options in the early 1 p.m. slot. The Cleveland Browns host the Green Bay Packers on FOX, and a battle of backup quarterbacks is over on CBS when the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Minnesota Vikings. In the late window, the Chicago Bears will try to avoid starting their season 0-3 against the Dallas Cowboys on FOX at 4:25 p.m. ET. NBC’s latest installment of “Sunday Night Football” will see two winless teams try to get off the schneid when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the New York Giants at 8:20 p.m. ET.

ESPN is back to normal on Monday night with just one offering for “Monday Night Football” and for good reason: the Detroit Lions head to Maryland for a marquee matchup with the Baltimore Ravens at 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC/ESPN.

Here is who our staff is picking on the moneyline, spread, and over/under for all 16 games on the NFL Week 3 schedule:
