Milos Kerkez has issued a five-word cryptic social media message amid reported transfer interest from Liverpool. The Bournemouth left-back impressed and scored during their 4-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday.

Kerkez, 21, has been one of the outstanding left-sided defenders in the Premier League this season and he showed again why there is high-profile interest in him with his performance at St James' Park. He was a constant threat on the left flank and popped up with a goal of his own in stoppage-time.

The Hungarian, who arrived at the Cherries from AZ in the summer of 2023, found some space inside the Newcastle box before firing the ball into the far corner. It wrapped up another excellent win for Andoni Iraola's side, who are now seventh in the top-flight and unbeaten in 11 matches across all competitions.

As for Kerkez, it's no surprise that he has been linked with a move away from the Vitality Stadium. i news reported on Friday that Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have already started to make contact with his representatives, but it's claimed he favours a switch to Anfield over the Manchester clubs.

A chance to reunite with Liverpool director of football Richard Hughes, who brought Kerkez to England during his time at Bournemouth, is thought to be a major part in his thinking. Bournemouth, meanwhile, have no plans on selling Kerkez in January and are under no pressure to cash on in a prized asset.

Speculation has intensified after Kerkez's performance against Newcastle and the player has since fuelled the fire with an intriguing message on social media following the game. He said in an Instagram post: "I talk on the pitch," alongside an image of him celebrating his second Premier League goal of the season.

His Bournemouth teammates couldn't help but celebrate with him in the comments section. Kepa Arrizabalaga, James Hill, Ryan Christie, Illia Zabarnyi, Marcus Tavernier, Alex Scott, Evanilson and Dean Huijsen were among those to send praise to Kerkez, who is rated at around £50million by those on the south coast.

However, Justin Kluivert, the match-winner against Newcastle with a fine hat-trick, had other ideas and thinks that Kerkez has doubled his transfer valuation. He commented: "£100M POUNDSSSS son."

If Liverpool managed to sign Kerkez, it would no doubt delight ex-Liverpool defender and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher. He has been crying out for the Reds to recruit a left-back in the January transfer window amid Andy Robertson's drop off in form and Kostas Tsimikas' inconsistencies.

Speaking after the 2-2 draw with Manchester United earlier this month, Carragher said: "The big worry for me now is Liverpool are starting to concede goals and chances. I still think Liverpool are the best team in this league, they've got more goals in this team and attacking talent than Arsenal.

"If you're Arsenal watching that, the thing would give you a lift is that Liverpool didn't win and you're seeing Liverpool concede goals and chances. People say Arsenal need a to sign a goal scorer, Liverpool need to sign a full-back in January.

"A left-back, Trent was poor today, Conor Bradley came in, I think Andy Robertson - absolute legend, love him to bits - is just hanging on and Tsimikas isn't quite at the standard to come replace him. If Liverpool could get a left-back in January, that would put them in a strong position to go and win the league."
