TBR Football can now exclusively reveal how Tyler Dibling is feeling after Everton saw a £35m bid for the England U21 international rejected by Southampton.

The Southampton No.33 made a real impression on the Premier League last season, shining in a struggling side who ultimately finished bottom of the division with four goals and three assists in 38 appearances.

Everton are now pushing to bring Tyler Dibling back to the Premier League – and TBR Football understand the winger born in Exeter is excited by the move.

Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – has now been informed that the Southampton academy graduate is keen to join Everton.

We understand Dibling – who Theo Walcott likens to Paul Gascoigne – is eager to play under David Moyes on Merseyside and feels a move to Everton will be beneficial for his career.

Sources also inform TBR Football that Southampton are giving the 19-year-old permission to speak to Everton, but discussions are ongoing between both Premier League clubs over a fee.

The Saints have rejected a £35m bid from the Toffees, and are holding out for a sum of £40m.

However, talks are continuing, and an agreement does not feel far off for Everton, who are also pursuing Juanlu Sanchez and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall of Sevilla and Chelsea respectively.

Southampton sources confirm Everton’s bid was worth £35m plus £8m in add-ons.

However, the Saints want a guaranteed £40m before allowing Dibling to undergo a medical with Everton.

Tottenham were also keen on Tyler Dibling

Earlier in 2025, TBR Football revealed that Tottenham were keen to sign Dibling from Southampton.

Dibling – who Walcott also compares to Gareth Bale – was attracting serious interest from the north Londoners.

However, the situation went quiet after Ange Postecoglou was replaced by Thomas Frank, who swiftly signed Mohammed Kudus in a £55m move from West Ham to bolster the wide attacking areas.

Now, Dibling looks set for a move to Everton, with the Toffees currently trying to bridge a £5m gap in valuation as talks continue.
