Tottenham urged to sign Christian Eriksen this summer

Tottenham Hotspur have been urged to sign the Denmark international midfielder Christian Eriksen during the summer window.

The midfielder will soon be a free agent after his contract expires with Manchester United this summer. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham decide to bring him back to the club.

He has played for the North London outfit in the past, and he was outstanding for them. The midfielder has 55 goals to his name in the Premier League, and he picked up 81 assists as well. There is no doubt that he has the experience to compete at a high level. He could be a useful player for them.

Eriksen has been previously linked with a return to the club.

Tottenham urged to sign Eriksen

Former Premier League striker Nicklas Bendtner believe that the 33-year-old could help Spurs improve, and they should look to reunite him with Thomas Frank. The midfielder played under Frank during his time at Brentford.

“He could make Tottenham better, and it would be a good reunion,” Bendtner said via Tipsbladet. “In Brentford he also succeeded under Thomas, but I am sure that he will find a good club and find what is good for him and his family.”

Spurs could use Christian Eriksen

Tottenham could certainly use more depth in the final third, and it remains to be seen whether they decide to bring their former player back to the club. Eriksen was a fan favourite during his time at Tottenham. Even though he is in the twilight stages of his career, he could be an inexpensive acquisition who will help the squad with his quality, experience, and leadership.

Tottenham have secured Champions League qualification for the next season, and they must improve their squad this summer. They will need to bring in quality players who will help them match up to the European elite.

Meanwhile, the opportunity to return to his former club could be exciting for the player as well. He played his best football at Tottenham.
