He had already sanctioned the permanent £15m signing of attacking midfielder Carlos Alcaraz and the £27m capture of striker Thierno Barry.And, with Joao Virginia and Asmir Begovic two of a number of players to have left the club at the end of the season, Mark Travers this morning arrived in a £4m deal from Bournemouth to become back-up to first-choice goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.But Everton cannot afford to stop there. A left-back, right-back, at least one centre-midfielder and a right-sided midfielder are all still required.Given that, then, it is little wonder the Blues are regular features in the transfer gossip columns. But it appears Francisco Conceicao will not be the answer.A Bola report that the Blues agreed to pay the pint-sized Portugal international's €30m release clause in his Porto contract.However, the 22-year-old has turned down the chance of a move to Merseyside because he wants to make the permanent switch to Juventus, where he was on loan last season.Douglas Luiz contactSticking with Juventus, Calciomercato have reported that Everton are 'intent' on making a move for their Brazil international Douglas Luiz.The 27-year-old, who only joined the Serie A giants from Aston Villa last summer, is believed be one of the midfielders who has been discussed by the Blues.The report claims Everton have 'initiated contact' with Juventus and are 'ready to make an offer' - which we be an initial loan with an option to buy.However, Juve are said to favour a permanent transfer. Perhaps to fund the Conceicao deal...Jacob Ramsey interestA new report from The Telegraph states that Nottingham Forest have made Aston Villa attacking midfielder Jacob Ramsey a primary summer transfer target.And within the article, it states that Everton and West Ham United also 'retain an interest' in the 24-year-old.Forst, though, can offer European football and are looking to strengthen their squad after losing Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United for £55m and face the prospect of losing the £60 Morgan Gibbs-White to Tottenham Hotspur.The departure of Elanga leaves Nuno's side without a right-winger and to that end The Express are reporting that they are interested in Liverpool youngster Ben Doak.The 19-year-old Scotland international is someone who is or has been of interest to Moyes and the Blues this summer.Academy ranks bolsteredIt's not just at first-team level that Everton are looking to do business.Article continues belowAnd The Athletic's trusted Blues reporter Paddy Boyland has today wrote that 16-year-old centre-backs John Dodds and Reuben Gokah are due to join the club from Hearts and Charlton Athletic respectively.
