NEW DELHI: The Asia Cup 2025 Group A clash between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium sparked controversy after the pre-match national anthem ceremony was disrupted by the accidental playing of the song Jalebi Baby, and no post-match handshakes took place between the two teams. The Pakistan Cricket Board has since lodged a complaint with the International Cricket Council, seeking the removal of match referee Andy Pycroft. During the pre-match ceremony, instead of Pakistan’s national anthem, Tesher and Jason Derulo’s popular track Jalebi Baby played for about six seconds before the correct anthem resumed.

Batter maybe set but he's facing me for the first time. Still feel I really need to work on my bowling. Sometimes I feel I use too many variations," Kuldeep said after the match. Pakistan will next face the UAE, while India will meet Oman on Wednesday. India’s next match is scheduled for Friday at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
