Aston Villa fans are all saying the same thing about Jadon Sancho's unveiling after Man Utd loan exit

Jadon Sancho has been unveiled at new club Aston Villa following his loan move from Manchester United.

Manchester United finally found a new club for Jadon Sancho following a torturous summer of negotiations.

Chelsea rejected the chance to sign Sancho on a permanent basis, paying £5 million to Manchester United not to follow up their loan agreement.

This left United attempting to negotiate loan moves to Juventus, Roma, and others, before a late switch to Aston Villa.

United In Focus reported in June how Villa were keen on landing Sancho, with a loan deal eventually resurrected on transfer deadline day.

Jadon Sancho unveiled

Aston Villa unveiled their new loan signing following their deadline day agreement with Manchester United.

In addition to their post on X, they shared a series of Instagram videos from Sancho’s unveiling and first interview.

It has not been a strong start to the season for Aston Villa, who have gained just one point from their opening three matches, including a 3-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace.

And this led a lukewarm response to the Jadon Sancho signing, with fans suspecting he was not too thrilled to be at Villa Park.

Responding to Instagram videos of Sancho being presented amid a perceived lack of excitement, Aston Villa fans shared the same sentiments.

One wrote: “Looks like just watched the highlight reel of our first three games.”

A second added: “Looks fed up! Well done the marketing team!”

Another comment read: “Looks really happy to be here 😂😂😂”, with another fan posting sarcastically, “He looks over the moon.”

“Looks like he’d rather be doing anything than play football,” wrote another.

A sixth fan blasted: “It’s ok to be happy, some kids actually dream of playing football at this level and will never ever get the opportunity.”

A Manchester United fan also chimed in: “Enjoy Villa fans. You can already see why not a single United fan wanted him to stay.”

Jadon Sancho wages mostly covered

Manchester United tried all summer to try and offload Jadon Sancho, and it was predictable that it went all the way down to deadline day.

Sancho is arguably Manchester United’s worst ever signing. This summer was the last realistic opportunity to get a fee for him – but this proved impossible.

Sancho’s ludicrously lucrative contract would not be matched by any buyer in addition to taking a fee, his performances on the pitch when he has played simply haven’t justified it.

And it has been quite clear that Sancho is unwilling to take a pay cut to leave.

Aston Villa will pay 80 per cent of his wages, Sky Sports reported, with Manchester United still on the hook for the rest.
