More infoManchester United youngster Sekou Kone was taken off on a stretcher after a head injury against Tamworth on Wendesday night and the game was subsequently abandoned.Kone, playing for United's U21s in a National League Cup fixture, went to the ground near the end of the first half after a collision with a Tamworth player.The midfielder initially stood to his feet but went back to the ground while he received medical treatment. Kone then left the pitch on a stretcher as he held a mask to his face.Kone received treatment in an ambulance and the fixture was subsequently abandoned. A replacement ambulance was required and the delay forced the fixture to be called off."We can confirm Sekou is conscious, stable and communicating with United’s medical team," United said in a statement on Wednesday night.
