Premier League Latest: Key arrivals on Deadline Day

0
Transfer Deadline Days can sometimes fail to meet expectations. This was not the case for the 2025-26 Premier League season as Alexander Isak sealed his controversial move from Newcastle United to Liverpool for a reported British record fee of £125 million.

"I feel amazing," Isak was quoted by Liverpool's website as saying. "It’s been a long journey to get here. But I’m super-happy to be a part of this team, this club and everything it stands for."

Isak scored 54 times in 86 Premier League games for Newcastle and his arrival bolsters a potent Liverpool attack which already features Mohamed Salah among others.

Elsewhere on Deadline Day, Manchester United opted for youth rather than experience to solve their goalkeeping conundrum as they ended interest in Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez in favour of signing Senne Lammens.

The 23-year-old played 64 games for Royal Antwerp, helping them to the Belgian Super Cup in 2023. "I am extremely proud to be joining Manchester United. It is a real dream come true," Lammens said on ManUtd.com.

Other notable Deadline Day moves saw Tottenham Hotspur sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani on loan while Aston Villa snapped up both Jadon Sancho and Harvey Elliott on loan.

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson also managed to force through his move to Bayern Munich but the same could not be said for Marc Guehi whose dreams of joining Liverpool were dashed by Crystal Palace pulling out of the deal.
