The 2025 WTA Wimbledon Open Final is here. Amanda Anisimova will take on Iga Swiatek, and one of them will become a first-time Wimbledon champion. Here are my best bets for the match, as well as my overall prediction. Drop your predictions in the comments.

WTA Wimbledon Open Final

Anisimova – Swiatek: Time 17:00

H2H: 0-0

Amanda Anismova and Iga Swiatek’s first meeting couldn’t have higher stakes if it tried. Swiatek has won the French Open four times and the U.S. Open once, but she’s never won Wimbledon. Anisimova doesn’t have any trophies from a Major. In fact, Wimbledon would easily be the biggest tournament Anisimova has ever won, should she beat Swiatek. Anisimova has been one of the most dangerous players in the world since coming back from her mental health break, but she has three injury stints already in 2025, and the last one was at the end of May.

Best Bet to Make for Anisimova

Anisimova enters the match as a 3-1 underdog, the first time this Wimbledon that she’s been the underdog. That said, she’s a very live underdog. At 8-2 in her last ten matches, 31-12 overall, and 12-2 on grass, Anisimova’s time away seems to have benefited her in a significant way, as this is now her third final of the year, her fourth tournament making at least a semifinal appearance, and her seventh tournament with at least a quarterfinal appearance. If Anisimova can establish a presence with her power, get her backhand going early, and take a few games from Swiatek when Swiatek is serving, then she should cruise to her first Major win.

That being said, Anisimova winning is a value bet for sure.

Best Bet to Make for Swiatek

Swiatek is built to counter a player like Anisimova. Known for her ability to work the entire court and rarely allowing her mind to wander during matches, Swiatek has the mental toughness sought by Anisimova when she took her break. Swiatek can take this match if she’s able to establish her forehand early and often. Similar to one of her heroes, Rafa Nadal, Swiatek is able to confound opponents with the spin on her forehand, and that’s something that she can use to infect Anisimova’s mind with doubt early on.

That being said, Swiatek winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.

Best Bet to Make/My Pick

Thus far, Wimbledon has been a tournament of upsets and I’m going to pick an upset to end the tournament. The way Anisimova has been playing inspired tennis heading into this final has made me a believer. She is at the right age and talent level to win her first Major, and the fact that Swiatek has never won at Wimbledon is something she can use to her advantage. Anisimova has already won three matches at Wimbledon that went to a third set, and she also won a lengthy tiebreak in the second set of her match with Pavlyuchenkova. By contrast, Swiatek hasn’t really faced much of a challenge outside of her match with Caty McNally and her second set against Liudmila Samsonova. Anisimova is tested at Wimbledon, having already dumped out the best player in the world, Aryna Sabalenka, in her last match.

That being said, Over 21.5 games is a value bet for sure.
