The 2025 All-Ireland Football Championship saw a jump of 20% in attendances on the previous year, according to the Football Review Committee's final report.Near the end of the FRC's final report - which was published this afternoon, recommending some further modifications to the rules for 2026 - it was reported that the total attendance for football championship games this year exceeded one million - 1.029 million - an increase of 20% on last year's figure of 858,459.There had already been a reported 25% increase in Allianz Football League attendances in the spring, with 510,697 adult sales across the four divisions, compared with 379,171 sales in 2024.There were also 975,585 Juvenile sales, with that cohort now being charged €5 for entry in 2025, having been admitted for free in previous years.The FRC proposed that all the rule changes introduced ahead of the 2025 campaign be made permanent, albeit with tweaks proposed in the final report, which will be voted on at Special Congress on 4 October.In his introduction to the report, President Jarlath Burns extolled the work of the FRC, remarking that it was "no exaggeration to state that we have gotten our game back."
